Patient Safety Education Videos on Critical Event Debriefing

Postpartum Hemorrhage

Debriefing after perioperative critical events (e.g., hemorrhage, anaphylaxis) is a valuable way to improve patient safety, medical education, quality assurance, and other important domains. It provides benefits at the individual, team, and system level. Despite extensive literature supporting this practice, real-time debriefing after critical events occurs only a fraction of a time. These videos provide simulated examples of critical events and real-time post-event debriefing to serve as a resource for education and implementation efforts.
